Best Mens team of the First 40 years

For the 40th Anniversary dinner, a committee was asked to put together the best team from all the players that had played at the club. The committee was made of decorated players and club officials from the clubs history. The committee was chosen to ensure players from the first to the 40th year would be considered.

The following rules were set out for the committee:

  • The team would play a 4-4-2 formation
  • A player must have played for at least three years for the club in the position being nominated
  • Players would be picked for specific positions
  • The bench would consist of 7 players, 1 keeper, 2 Defenders, 2 midfielders, 2 forwards
